Booth number: 1847
January 20, 2016 – Kornit Digital, (NASDAQ: KRNT), a global market leader in digital textile printing technology, has announced details of its participation in ISS Long Beach, held January 22-24 at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Kornit will perform live printing demonstrations on its Avalanche Hexa system, using the new NeoPigmentTM Pure ink which has become commercially available in North America at the beginning of 2016. Among the samples will be sportswear made from cationic dyed polyester with excellent print quality. Kornit will also provide more details of its high-productivity Vulcan direct-to-garment printing system which is currently beta testing in North America and is expected to launch in the middle of 2016.
The Avalanche Hexa is the company’s flagship product and is optimized for highest productivity and maximum color possibilities with its 20-heads and CMYRG + white ink configuration. The Avalanche Hexa is ideal for producers of promotional garments and fashion producers that need to match special or spot colors. It is one of four configurations of Kornit’s high-productivity Avalanche family.
Kornit Digital’s NeoPigment Pure ink is the company’s latest digital textile ink innovation providing color characteristics that are closer to ideal LAB values. Improved overall smoothness and a gamut increased by more than 15% are accompanied by a deeper black, while the white ink has greater brightness and opacity with greater coverage.
With a refined hand feel, NeoPigment Pure offers reduced post-print odor, and is suitable for use on virtually all fabric types with the added benefit of offering 100% sustainability and biodegradability. The ink is fully compliant with OekoTex 100 and is GOTS pre-approved.
Generally, Kornit Digital’s NeoPigment ink is the only true one-step ink technology in the direct-to-garment printing industry as it eliminates external pretreatment steps and works on a variety of fabric types with a single ink set.
Kornit will also discuss its new Vulcan digital direct-to-garment platform that for the first time rivals screen printing for mid-to-long runs, due to its extraordinary speed and ink efficiency. Compared to the company’s current systems, Vulcan users can reduce the cost per print by up to 40%. With the Kornit Vulcan, more textile printers and garment decorators can benefit from digital printing advantages which include drastically reduced turnaround times, mass customization capabilities and the elimination of setup costs, coupled with significantly reduced labor and manufacturing space.
“Kornit Digital looks forward to ISS Long Beach where we will demonstrate the new width and breadth of digital printing applications to garment producers looking for new business opportunities,” stated Paul Borucki, Managing Director of Kornit Digital North America. “Be it short run production, on-demand polyester printing, personalized garments or special editions, Kornit delivers the tools for today’s advanced and profitable business models. And we keep pushing the envelope, as evidenced by innovations such as the Kornit Vulcan.”
ISS Long Beach, which takes place January 22-24, is a leading exhibition for sportswear and garment manufacturing.
